Negotiation Update #3
At our third negotiation session, the hospital continued to REJECT the following MNA proposals:
- Medical Insurance (allow nurses the ability, annually, to choose the MNA contractually-protected plans)
- Pay Raise (hospital is still proposing 0% increase for 2 years)
- Freeze on parking rates
- All nursing department managers shall assume a full patient care assignment 4 times/year
- One year contract
AND continued to propose TAKE-AWAYS:
- Double time
- Increase overall percentage of Variables to 50%
- Force all newly-employed RNs into the Flex Program
- Eliminate 2 holidays and 5 sick days
