Negotiation Update #5

“We see no market-based reason for a salary increase.  Other hospital employees are getting a merit-based 2%.”

“The Hospital continues to face significant financial challenges.  These concerns are real and immediate.”

As usual ……………….. The sky is falling!

In actuality…………….. The sky is the limit for BWH.  The Hospital made 112 million dollars last year and increased our insurance rates exponentially.

Still…….

No increase in pay
No frozen parking rates
No ability to opt out of Flex Benefits
No one-year contract

And still proposing take-aways, including……………….

Double time
Sick time
Paid holidays
Increased percentage of Variables
New RNs will be forced into Flex Benefits
and now
                   RN FINGERPRINTING FOR OMNICELL USE

Multiple care and practice issues still need to be addressed (OR, CWN 7, L&D and PCAs).
