Negotiation Update #7

No New Contract

“Our willingness to offer a wage increase depends on our ability to realize cost savings elsewhere in the contract.”

In other words, they want you to subsidize your wage increase by giving something up (TAKE-AWAYS!).

Still proposing:

  • Elimination of double time
  • 2-year contract
  • Forcing new RNs into FLEX
  • Omnicell fingerprinting

Still refusing:

  • Reasonable salary increase
  • New step
  • Frozen parking rates
  • Management nurses taking a patient care assignment 4 times/year (to ensure that they understand the implications of their staffing decisions)

Contract extended until our next session on November 21st.
